GOLF

Seniors

Welcome to the thriving Seniors Section at East Horton Golf Club, established in 1999 and boasting 85+ dedicated male and female members.

Our weekly Monday sessions, except on bank holidays when we play on Tuesdays, feature a dynamic calendar of competitions. Teeing off at 08:30 (09:00 in mid-winter), members enjoy diverse challenges on our two main courses, with entry fees of £2 for roll-up competitions and exciting prizes for the top three scorers.

Golfing together for charity and community

Our tradition of drawing playing partners at random fosters a sense of camaraderie, offering members the chance to play with and against various peers throughout the year. Supporting our community, we annually raise funds for a local charity, selected by the captain, through activities like a weekly wine raffle, charity auctions, donations, and social events.

Senior golf competitions and inter-club challenges

Seniors Competitions are a highlight, featuring Trophy competitions open to the entire Senior membership, such as the Seniors Championship, Captains Charity Day, Captain’s Trophy, Summer and Winter Matchplay Singles and Pairs, and fun events like Texas Scrambles, Yellow Peril, Team 123, and a 3-club challenge. Engaging in a busy Inter-Club fixture list, we participate in matches home and away, including Men’s, Ladies, and Mixed events at top-quality courses across Hampshire.
